THE MARKET AT THREE LITTLE BIRDS

The Market at Three Little Birds is a three story hodge podge of local North Carolina artisans in Clayton

The Market at Three Little Birds is an amazing hodgepodge of artisans located in downtown Clayton, NC about 20 minutes East of Raleigh. I could not have more love for the small town of Clayton that we moved to just over 4 years ago and we couldn't have arrived at a luckier time to stumble into the opportunity to meet the people behind this community as they began the process of creating such a magical space. That's right, I said community because it is so much more then a simple brick and mortar retail shop!

Even if Clayton is a haul from your home location in the triangle, this spot is worth the drive one weekend if you are in search of something fun and unique. With over 70 artisans featured at the moment, every visit will surprise you with different pieces available. New vendors are always joining in the mix too to keep things flowing with endless inventory. Expect to get lost for hours inside.

Think of Three Little Birds as a new age department store. It's a reinvented approach on an all in one shopping event and what makes it so special is that it features local artisans almost exclusively. The owner Christi Thompson personally repurposes one of a kind furniture to give it new life and manages the store, events and vendors.

A FEW HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SPACE

Below are a couple of favorite spots within this HUGE space. Again, the market is three floors of fun and the first floor alone will keep you busy enough there are some really cool things to check out both downstairs and upstairs!

Furniture restored by Three Little Birds is something to be treasured. THREE LITTLE BIRDS FURNITURE (THE OBVIOUS DRAW!)
The owner Christi Thompson and team turn the old and forgotten into something beautiful every week. New pieces of furniture are added and restored and every piece is something unique to be treasured. The team here often goes with popular neutrals, but they are not afraid to paint in color pops with coral and sky blue furniture just as often. The staff will even custom paint furniture pieces and help you restore family heirlooms.

Jar Bar fun at Three Little Birds for some create your own decorJAR BAR MIX-AND-MATCH FUN HOME DECOR
You really aren't going to find a lot of spaces with a "jar bar" for home decor. With dozens of hand painted mason jars, customers come and pick their favorite and then accessorize each jar. The creations are a fun activity for a day out shopping and each creation ends up totally unique with the customers preferences. Across from the Jar Bar the Market also offers a "Text Tile Bar." (See larger photo below.) The Text Tile Bar is a similar home decor fun element where you can make your own large scrabble board. Perfect mantle decor or a fun way to spruce up a shelf!

It's a Match Soy Candles in Copper MulesIT'S A MATCH SOY CANDLES
Personally I am a big fan of a two part gift or product and these soy candles in copper mules are one of my favorite gift items or just for around the home. A great smelling candle to begin with and then after finished and clean you have some extra mules for your bar to be the hostess with the mostess! You can visit them on Facebook here.
